Failed restorations. Patient complains about un-natural appearance of incongruous composites. She desires longer and brighter teeth. Natural looks is her main expectation.
After removal of failed composites. Teeth present large areas of exposed dentin. Challenge is to successfully bond new composite veneers onto constricted areas of enamel. Resilience of composite veneers lessens, when bonded on dentin rather than enamel. Minimum thickness must be attained so that fractures be avoided and brightness and harmony be accomplished.
Length re-established. Diastemas closed. Polychromatic layering results in enhanced brightness and natural looks. Curve of lip and of lower teeth edges is faithfully reproduced on new veneers.
Patient is thrilled with her final appearance, whilst her practitioners are a little restrained , as…usual!
