Porcelain veneers on 3 upper front teeth – Colour match


Woman ,40, presented with 3 dyschromic i.e. discoloured upper front teeth

It is apparent that her 2 upper left teeth (right hand side for the observer) are discoloured. Lateral incisor yellowish and canine greyish

Shade tab against intensely discoloured canine to help register colour. All 3 teeth are minimally prepped yet without anaesthesia

Custom made silicone template in situ soaked with flowable resin. After 4′ resin is hardened and 3 new temporary veneers are fabricated and placed on prepped teeth

Silicone template removed. 3 temporary resin veneers in situ. Shape and colour restored as dictated by aesthetic analysis

3 veneers after bonding. Full integration

Satisfactory colour match among teeth and porcelain veneers. Task completed successfully, challenge being to achieve shade matching among different substrates. Minimal thickness of 3 e-max veneers (by Ivoclar Inc) dictated by minimal prep approach

Colour and shape fully restored on both segments , left and right
